The WtX QA Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the full project lifecycle, from engineering and manufacturing through to construction, installation and commissioning. Acting as the focal point for quality assurance and quality control activities across WtX projects, you will work closely with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors and customers to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, international standards and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate QA/QC activities throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring all engineering, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities comply with contractual requirements, technical specifications, approved procedures and applicable international quality standards and regulations.
  • Develop, review and maintain project quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Programmes (QCPs), inspection records, certification packages and traceability documentation, ensuring complete and accurate quality records are available throughout project execution.
  • Plan, support and participate in customer inspections, supplier and subcontractor audits, third-party inspections and regulatory reviews, monitoring the effectiveness of quality control activities, addressing non-conformances and ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide technical QA/QC expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders, supporting supplier qualification and performance management, identifying quality risks, promoting best practice and applying recognised problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies such as RCA, 8D, PDCA and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE requirements and relevant codes, standards and directives, including the review of conformity documentation and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) results, while preparing and communicating quality reports, performance metrics and improvement opportunities to support transparency, accountability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (BEng, MSc, Dipl.-Ing. or equivalent) with a minimum of five years' experience in Quality Management, Quality Assurance or Quality Control within plant engineering, manufacturing, construction or similarly complex project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of international quality standards, directives and codes, including ISO, EN, ASME, PED and relevant EU regulations, with experience ensuring compliance within project-based environments.
  • Practical experience applying recognised quality methodologies and problem-solving techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and PDCA to improve performance and prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Working knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques including RT, UT, MT, PT and VT, with Level II certification considered advantageous.
  • Experience working within matrix organisations, supported by proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, together with fluency in English and the local language; additional language skills are considered beneficial.
