Job Description
We are recruiting a Plant Attendant for a 1-year Fixed Term contract, based at our Westfield plant in Fife. Working in a small maintenance team, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the plant.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, eliminating or mitigating hazards
- Operating various equipment (e.g., Front-Loading Shovel, Forklift, Telehandler) and supporting plant repairs and emergency responses
- Conducting regular plant inspections, reporting defects, and maintaining housekeeping and cleaning standards
- Managing COSHH materials, minimizing waste, and ensuring proper storage and handling of stock and equipment
- Reporting accidents, near misses, and suggesting improvements to Plant Operating Instructions and Risk Assessments
Qualifications
- Education: O Level equivalent English and Maths
- Experience/qualification in operating mobile plant preferred
- Familiar with HSE standards, procedures, and requirements and capable of controlling plant operations in a safe and efficient manner
- Must have the ability to react quickly and with good judgment during emergencies
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills
