Kanadevia Inova is recruiting an Automation & Control System Specialist to establish the digital services execution team to deliver and support digital services projects and provide control system support for our Operation and Maintenance sites. This is a UK home‑based role supporting our site, where you will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties.

Responsibilities
  • Control System Maintenance & Support: Provide technical support, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting for control systems such as Siemens PCS7.
  • System Upgrades & Configuration: Configure and upgrade control systems to meet evolving operational requirements, including hardware upgrades, software patches, and control strategy improvements.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving hardware, software, networks and field instruments to minimize system downtime.
  • System Commissioning: Assist in the commissioning and start‑up of new control systems, including hardware installation, software configuration, and system integration.
  • Customer Training & Support: Provide training and technical support to customers on system operation, maintenance best practices, and safety protocols.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid experience working with industrial control systems, specifically Siemens PCS7, TIA Portal.
  • Hands‑on experience with control system integration, HMI/SCADA systems, and field instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in control logic development (PLC/DCS) and system design.
  • Familiarity with industry protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
  • Strong knowledge of servers, database systems and data historians.
