Kamsons Pharmacy, Bell Farm, Uckfield Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)
Salary: Starting at £12.71 per hour, increasing upon successful completion of the NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant qualification.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Plus Saturday, 9:00am to 1:00pm on a 1 in 5 rota basis.

At Kamsons Pharmacy Bell Farm, Uckfield, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly team as a Trainee Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in pharmacy. You will receive hands-on training in a busy, modern community pharmacy while working towards an NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant qualification, giving you the skills and knowledge needed to develop within the profession.
About the Role
This is a fast-paced and varied position where you’ll play an important part in delivering safe and effective healthcare services to our local community.
From day one, you’ll become a valued member of our supportive team, learning how to dispense prescriptions, provide excellent customer service, manage stock, and support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy.

Training & Development
Within 3 to 6 months of joining the team, you will have the opportunity to enrol on and work towards an NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant qualification.
This nationally recognised qualification will help you build your knowledge and confidence within the pharmacy sector and support your ongoing career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Labelling and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently in line with pharmacy procedures
- Ensuring the safe handling and storage of medicines
- Ordering and managing stock levels to meet patient demand
- Carrying out date checks and stock rotation to minimise waste
- Creating and maintaining accurate patient medication records while maintaining confidentiality
- Supporting the preparation of monitored dosage systems where required
- Processing prescription declarations and NHS claims accurately
- Handling invoices and pharmacy paperwork in line with company procedures
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the dispensary and stock areas
- Liaising with GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals regarding medication queries
- Supporting the delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services following appropriate training
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding patient care and customer service
