The job is fast paced - the day really does fly by. You will be involved in different work streams throughout the day as part of a team to achieve our goal of safely and promptly supplying medication. Our teams are small, friendly and work closely together - you will become an integral part of the team from the very start of your journey with Kamsons. Great communication with your colleagues and a can-do attitude will be the key to success.
Main roles and responsibilities will include:
- Label and dispense prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Ensure the safe supply and appropriate storage of medicines.
- Ordering sufficient medication and stock in line with company procedures to meet demands of our central fulfilment facility and date/usage checking to maximise availability and minimise waste.
- Work in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Process invoices and paperwork in a timely manner following company procedures.
- Undertake all necessary housekeeping duties so that dispensary and other operational areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives.
- Liaise with other Kamsons branches where necessary regarding any operations updates.
Within 3-6 months of starting the role you will have the opportunity to undertake and work towards an NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant course (There is a requirement for candidates to be placed on the correct course relevant to their role in pharmacy to further develop your understanding of the role).
