I’m currently working with a well-regarded and growing law firm in Chester that’s looking to add an Employment Solicitor (NQ – 3 PQE) to their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to build a strong foundation in employment law, with exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work, excellent supervision, and genuine long-term progression.
The Role
- Advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters
- Supporting Employment Tribunal claims (unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing)
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies
- Assisting with negotiations and dispute resolution
- Delivering commercially focused, practical advice
- Staying up to date with employment law developments
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 3 years PQE, England & Wales)
- Strong grounding in employment law (seat or post-qualified experience)
- Interest in both contentious and advisory work
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to Employment Tribunal work
- Experience drafting employment documentation
- Interest in client-facing work or business development
