I’m currently working with a well-regarded and growing law firm in Chester that’s looking to add an Employment Solicitor (NQ – 3 PQE) to their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to build a strong foundation in employment law, with exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work, excellent supervision, and genuine long-term progression.

The Role

  • Advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters
  • Supporting Employment Tribunal claims (unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing)
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, settlement agreements, and HR policies
  • Assisting with negotiations and dispute resolution
  • Delivering commercially focused, practical advice
  • Staying up to date with employment law developments

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 3 years PQE, England & Wales)
  • Strong grounding in employment law (seat or post-qualified experience)
  • Interest in both contentious and advisory work
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to Employment Tribunal work
  • Experience drafting employment documentation
  • Interest in client-facing work or business development
