The company is looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Operative / Forklift Driver (Stores & Despatch Operative) to join a busy manufacturing team in Coventry.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things organised, and wants to play an important part in a successful engineering business.
Shift Pattern/ Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am 2:00pm
- 30-minute lunch break
- Weekly Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Experience Required
Minimum 12 years experience in a warehouse, stores, manufacturing, factory, or logistics environment preferred.
The Role What Youll Be Doing
- Operating a forklift truck to unload and move materials safely around site.
- Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries.
- Locating, organising, and maintaining stock within the factory.
- Removing and spinning swarf.
- Operating and maintaining wash-plants.
- Supporting production teams with general factory duties.
- Preparing goods for shipment and ensuring orders leave on time.
- Learning and following despatch procedures while working with courier and transport providers.
- Maintaining and continuously improving factory housekeeping standards.
- Following company health and safety procedures at all times.
What Were Looking For
- Forklift Truck Licence (preferred).
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
- Reliable, proactive approach with good time management skills.
