The company is a well-established supplier of fasteners, fixings, tools, and industrial products, serving trade and commercial customers across a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their busy and friendly team. This is a varied role that will involve warehouse duties, customer service on the Trade Counter, and providing cover for delivery drivers when required.

Salary and Hours:

  • Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
  • 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
  • Additional Hours: Saturday mornings, 8:00am - 12:00 noon on a rota basis
  • Saturday overtime paid at 1.25x hourly rate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and checking goods delivered into the warehouse
  • Booking stock into the system and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Assisting with stock control and stock replenishment
  • Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing orders for dispatch
  • Serving customers on the Trade Counter and delivering excellent customer service
  • Providing cover for delivery drivers as required
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Participating in Saturday morning Trade Counter cover on a rota basis
  • Following all company health and safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Essential Requirement: Due to the company's vehicle insurance policy, applicants must be 25 years of age or older.
