We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capability to join a busy, well-established workshop specialising in Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. This role offers a great mix of work from modern vehicles using the latest diagnostic systems to older models where solid mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability are essential. This is not a role for someone purely reliant on diagnostics; we are looking for a well-rounded technician who can confidently handle both.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex faults using ODIS and VAGCOM (no other diagnostic systems used)
- Work across a range of VW/Audi vehicles, including both modern and older models
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and MOT preparation
- Complete accurate job cards and service records
- Ensure all work meets high standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Work efficiently to meet productivity targets
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Requirements
- Proven full diagnostic experience
- Experience using ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System)
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly on older vehicles
- Air-conditioning trained
- Own tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
