Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team.

About the Role As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining, preparing and repairing commercial vehicles to ensure they meet high standards of safety, performance and presentation before sale and dispatch.

You will work across a varied fleet of used trucks and commercial vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs to support vehicle readiness for UK and export customers.

Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.

Complete inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer standards.

Prepare vehicles for MOT and support compliance requirements.

Carry out repair and maintenance work on hydraulic systems where required.

Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.

Support efficient turnaround of workshop activity and vehicle availability.

Work safely and maintain high workshop standards at all times.

Requirements Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Heavy Vehicle Fitter .

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent preferred).

Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles.

Good understanding of vehicle compliance and MOT preparation.

Ability to work independently and within a workshop team.

Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Class 1 and/or Class 2 HGV Licence (preferred).

MOT experience (preferred).
