Vehicle Technician in Somerset

Salary: £35,000£50,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am5:00pm

A family-run used MINI specialist in Yate, near Bristol, is looking for a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician to join its team. The successful candidate will work in a welcoming workshop with new equipment and all tools supplied by the company.

Previous experience working on MINIs would be welcome, but it is not essential. The company is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and works well as part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, including oil and filter changes and fluid checks.
• Inspect brakes, tyres, suspension and other key vehicle components.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using workshop equipment.
• Repair or replace worn and faulty parts, following manufacturer guidance.
• Carry out safety checks and road tests where appropriate.
• Record completed work and report any further repairs needed.
• Keep tools, equipment and the workshop clean, safe and organised.

Requirements

• A Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification.
• Practical experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A careful, reliable approach and the ability to work well with others.
