Salary: £26,000 £30,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Financial Litigation | Commercial Disputes | Regulatory Investigations Legal Assistant Financial Litigation Are you an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal with litigation experience looking to develop your career within a specialist legal team? We are working with an established law firm that is looking to appoint a Legal Assistant to join its Financial Litigation team . This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with 23 years' experience to gain exposure to complex and high-value financial disputes, regulatory investigations and contentious matters . Working closely with experienced solicitors and fee earners, you will provide key support across a varied caseload while developing your knowledge and experience within sophisticated financial litigation. The Role As a Legal Assistant Financial Litigation , you will support matters from initial instruction through to resolution. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting legal research using case law, legislation and regulatory materials Managing and reviewing large volumes of documentation and disclosure materials Assisting with the preparation of pleadings, court documents, legal correspondence and case summaries Maintaining case management systems and monitoring key deadlines Tracking court dates and procedural requirements Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and external parties Supporting solicitors with trial preparation, witness bundles, exhibits and hearings Assisting with the organisation and analysis of financial records and supporting documentation Maintaining accurate and well-organised case files Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Providing general administrative and case management support to the wider litigation team About You We are looking for a Legal Assistant, Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal with previous experience supporting litigation matters within a legal environment. You should ideally have: 23 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal Previous litigation experience Experience within commercial, financial, banking or regulatory litigation would be advantageous A strong understanding of litigation procedures and court processes Knowledge of disclosure requirements Experience using legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent drafting and administrative abilities Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure A professional and client-focused approach Desirable Experience Experience or knowledge of any of the following would be advantageous: Financial services Securities regulation Banking law Financial disputes Commercial litigation Regulatory investigations Complex contentious matters However, specific financial litigation experience is not essential for the right candidate, provided you have a strong litigation background and the ability to learn quickly.
