We are recruiting for an experienced Regional Refrigeration Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team based in Leigh, covering commercial refrigeration systems across the North West. This is a varied, field-based position involving planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding, installation and commissioning across a number of retail and operational sites.
The role would suit a qualified refrigeration engineer who is confident working independently, enjoys fault finding and is looking for a stable long-term position with regional coverage.
The Role
- Maintaining and repairing a range of commercial refrigeration systems across the North West.
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration systems.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across multiple sites.
- Diagnosing and resolving refrigeration faults.
- Attending breakdowns and reactive maintenance callouts.
- Installing and commissioning refrigeration equipment.
- Working on chillers, freezers, cold rooms and display refrigeration systems.
- Ensuring all work complies with F-Gas regulations and relevant health and safety requirements.
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Working closely with site teams to minimise operational disruption.
- Supporting the reliability and performance of refrigeration equipment.
- Managing your own regional workload and travel effectively.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer / Commercial Refrigeration Engineer with strong technical and diagnostic skills. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems.
- F-Gas Category 1 certification essential.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience with chillers, freezers, cold rooms and display refrigeration.
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
- Installation and commissioning experience.
- The ability to work independently and manage a regional workload.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A professional and safety-conscious approach.
