We are recruiting for an experienced Regional Refrigeration Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team based in Leigh, covering commercial refrigeration systems across the North West. This is a varied, field-based position involving planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding, installation and commissioning across a number of retail and operational sites.

The role would suit a qualified refrigeration engineer who is confident working independently, enjoys fault finding and is looking for a stable long-term position with regional coverage.

The Role

  • Maintaining and repairing a range of commercial refrigeration systems across the North West.
  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across multiple sites.
  • Diagnosing and resolving refrigeration faults.
  • Attending breakdowns and reactive maintenance callouts.
  • Installing and commissioning refrigeration equipment.
  • Working on chillers, freezers, cold rooms and display refrigeration systems.
  • Ensuring all work complies with F-Gas regulations and relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Completing service reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Working closely with site teams to minimise operational disruption.
  • Supporting the reliability and performance of refrigeration equipment.
  • Managing your own regional workload and travel effectively.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer / Commercial Refrigeration Engineer with strong technical and diagnostic skills. You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems.
  • F-Gas Category 1 certification essential.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Experience with chillers, freezers, cold rooms and display refrigeration.
  • Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Installation and commissioning experience.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a regional workload.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • A professional and safety-conscious approach.
