We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who takes pride in creating high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients while maintaining exceptional kitchen standards. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation, ensuring exceptional food quality, efficient service, and compliance with food safety regulations while leading and developing a motivated kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and manage the kitchen team.
- Plan and develop seasonal menus.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes using fresh ingredients.
- Manage food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships.
- Monitor food costs, GP and minimise waste.
- Ensure all food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP procedures are adhered to.
- Recruit, train and develop kitchen staff.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
- Work closely with the management team to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and service during busy periods.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Senior Sous Chef ready to step into a Head Chef role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, menu development and kitchen operations.
- Good understanding of food hygiene legislation and HACCP.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment.
- A passion for producing exceptional food and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Salary & Benefits
- ~£40,000 - £45,000+ per annum (DOE)
