We provide a professional range of services, including RICS Level 2 Home Surveys, RICS Level 3 Building Surveys, RICS residential valuations, new-build snagging surveys, damp and defect inspections, and drone-assisted roof surveys . We are now looking for a qualified and experienced Residential Surveyor to join our growing team. Our approach is simple: quality over quantity . Surveyors will typically undertake one residential survey per day, depending on the type, size and complexity of the property , allowing sufficient time to carry out thorough inspections and produce high-quality reports. The Role You will carry out residential property surveys and inspections across Newcastle, Northumberland, Sunderland and surrounding areas . Key Responsibilities Complete RICS Level 2 Home Surveys and RICS Level 3 Building Surveys . Undertake RICS residential valuations . Carry out new-build snagging surveys. Conduct damp and defect inspections. Complete drone-assisted roof inspections where appropriate. Identify property defects, structural concerns and maintenance requirements. Produce accurate, detailed and professional survey reports. Provide clear advice and recommendations to clients. Manage your own workload and survey appointments effectively. Maintain high professional and industry standards. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a professional, independent and client-focused surveyor with: Strong residential surveying experience. Excellent knowledge of residential construction, building defects and property condition. Strong report-writing and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good organisational and time-management skills. The ability to work independently and manage a flexible workload. A commitment to delivering a high-quality service. Qualifications & Requirements Essential RICS-qualified (AssocRICS or MRICS) essential. Alternatively, MCIOB membership may be considered for suitably qualified and experienced candidates. Relevant residential surveying experience. A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for business use, with appropriate business insurance. Desirable Experience with RICS Level 2 and Level 3 surveys. Experience with RICS residential valuations. Experience carrying out snagging, damp and defect inspections. Experience using drones for roof inspections. CABE membership. Salary & Benefits £35,000£50,000 per annum , dependent on qualifications and experience. 37.5 hours per week with hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Standard office hours of 8:30am5:00pm .
