Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am - 1:00pm (subject to staff availability)

About the Role:

An established and growing automotive company in Corby is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance work to a high standard while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Perform cambelt replacements, clutch replacements, turbocharger repairs, and DPF-related work.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
  • Complete diagnostic testing using industry-standard equipment (diagnostic experience advantageous).
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Support workshop efficiency and contribute to maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Relevant automotive qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred).
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Diagnostic experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with cambelts, clutches, servicing, turbos, and DPF systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
