About the Role:
An established and growing automotive company in Corby is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance work to a high standard while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Perform cambelt replacements, clutch replacements, turbocharger repairs, and DPF-related work.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
- Complete diagnostic testing using industry-standard equipment (diagnostic experience advantageous).
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Support workshop efficiency and contribute to maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
- Relevant automotive qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Diagnostic experience is advantageous.
- Experience with cambelts, clutches, servicing, turbos, and DPF systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
