The organisation is seeking an experienced and detail-focused Restoration Technician to join their established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on heritage vehicles including Aston Martin DB4, DB5, DB6, DBS, V8, and pre-war Lagonda models. The role involves full mechanical restoration processes from initial strip-down through to final assembly and road testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete mechanical strip-down, rebuild, and reassembly of classic vehicles
  • Diagnosis and rectification of mechanical and engineering faults
  • Build-up of vehicles from bare painted body
  • Road testing and final quality verification
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Ensuring all work meets the high standards expected in concours-level restorations
  • Upholding the craftsmanship and quality reputation of the business

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience within classic car restoration or a premium automotive environment
  • A solid amount of experience working with classic vehicles (essential)
  • A strong mechanical background with relevant qualifications
  • A meticulous and detail-driven approach to workmanship
  • A genuine passion for heritage and performance vehicles
  • Strong ability in traditional, hands-on mechanical craftsmanship

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, No weekend working, 40 hours per week

Salary & Benefits: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience), 28 days holiday including bank holidays, Private pension scheme, On-site parking, Company-provided uniform

Additional Information: The role is based at a specialist automotive restoration facility in Beamish within the Red Row Estate. The working environment is professional yet relaxed, supporting highly skilled technicians in delivering exceptional restoration work.
