Salary: Β£34,000 Β£36,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm About the Role An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Light Motor Vehicle Technician to join a team of 6 at an established independent garage based in Norwich, NR6 6SU . The successful candidate will carry out MOT repairs, servicing, cambelt replacements, tyre repairs and air conditioning work on vehicles of all ages and models . This is a hands-on workshop position suited to an experienced technician with strong practical knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship. The company places greater emphasis on practical experience and proven ability than formal qualifications. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Carrying out MOT repairs and vehicle servicing Completing cambelt replacements Carrying out tyre repairs and replacements Completing air conditioning servicing and repairs Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where required Carrying out vehicle inspections and health checks Working safely and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard Accurately completing job cards and relevant workshop paperwork Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment Following company procedures and health and safety requirements Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Strong previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic or Light Motor Vehicle Technician Proven hands-on experience within an independent garage, dealership or similar automotive workshop environment Experience carrying out MOT repairs, servicing, cambelt replacements, tyre work and air conditioning repairs Strong mechanical and fault-finding abilities The ability to work independently as well as part of a team A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail A reliable and professional attitude A full UK driving licence essential Formal qualifications are welcomed; however, practical experience and proven mechanical ability are considered more important for this position . Working Hours Monday to Friday: 8:00am 4:30pm There is no overtime or weekend work available for this position. Salary
