We are seeking a motivated and skilled Chef to join a busy countryside pub kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
Salary & Hours
- Starting salary: £13.50 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
- Variable hours contract
- Minimum 37.5 - 50 hours per week
- Opportunities for additional hours during busy periods
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and rotation of ingredients
- Support menu development and contribute creative ideas
- Ensure consistent portion control and presentation standards
- Work across all kitchen sections as required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar environment
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Team player with good communication skills
- Passion for delivering high-quality food
- Must have the right to work in the UK
