We are seeking a motivated and skilled Chef to join a busy countryside pub kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Salary & Hours

  • Starting salary: £13.50 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
  • Variable hours contract
  • Minimum 37.5 - 50 hours per week
  • Opportunities for additional hours during busy periods

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety compliance
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and rotation of ingredients
  • Support menu development and contribute creative ideas
  • Ensure consistent portion control and presentation standards
  • Work across all kitchen sections as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar environment
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
