Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are recruiting for an organised and proactive Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy heating and gas engineering team based in Abingdon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong scheduling, administration, and coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and keeping operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the daily schedules of Gas Engineers
  • Book jobs and allocate work efficiently across the engineering team
  • Act as the main point of contact between engineers and office operations
  • Manage job progress and ensure works are completed within agreed timeframes
  • Raise and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Update internal systems and maintain accurate job records
  • Handle customer communications regarding appointments and service updates
  • Support planning and resource allocation for service and maintenance works
  • Monitor engineer productivity and assist with operational reporting
  • Ensure all administration relating to gas engineering works is completed correctly

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an Operations Coordinator, Scheduler, Service Coordinator, Office Manager, or similar role
  • Experience coordinating engineers, trades, or field-based teams is highly desirable
  • Strong administration and invoicing experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Confident communicator with strong customer service skills
  • Good IT skills and experience using scheduling or job management systems
  • Knowledge of heating, plumbing, gas, or engineering environments would be advantageous
