Regional Refrigeration Engineer North West
Are you an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Engineer looking for a permanent regional role with a £50,000 salary, company vehicle and fuel card ?
We are recruiting for an experienced Regional Refrigeration Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team based in Leigh , covering commercial refrigeration systems across the North West .
This is a varied, field-based position involving planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding, installation and commissioning across a number of retail and operational sites.
The role would suit a qualified refrigeration engineer who is confident working independently, enjoys fault finding and is looking for a stable long-term position with regional coverage.
The Role
As a Regional Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of commercial refrigeration systems across the North West.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration systems
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across multiple sites
- Diagnosing and resolving refrigeration faults
- Attending breakdowns and reactive maintenance callouts
- Installing and commissioning refrigeration equipment
- Working on chillers, freezers, cold rooms and display refrigeration systems
- Ensuring all work complies with F-Gas regulations and relevant health and safety requirements
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
- Working closely with site teams to minimise operational disruption
- Supporting the reliability and performance of refrigeration equipment
- Managing your own regional workload and travel effectively
About You
We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer / Commercial Refrigeration Engineer with strong technical and diagnostic skills.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
- F-Gas Category 1 certification essential
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Experience with chillers, freezers, cold rooms and display refrigeration
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Installation and commissioning experience
- The ability to work independently and manage a regional workload
- A full UK driving licence
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A professional and safety-conscious approach
