About the Role: An exciting opportunity is available for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join a friendly kitchen team in Llancarfan. The business operates from Wednesday to Sunday and offers a flexible working environment with a varied shift pattern. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking fresh food to a high standard, with a focus on British-style dishes, pub grub and fresh produce. Experience within a similar pub, restaurant or gastro-pub environment would be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fresh produce to a consistently high standard.
  • Take responsibility for your designated kitchen section.
  • Prepare and serve traditional British-style food and quality pub grub.
  • Work with fresh ingredients and maintain excellent food presentation.
  • Assist with cooking pizzas using the outdoor pizza oven.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
  • Work effectively as part of a small and supportive kitchen team.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served efficiently during busy periods.
  • Follow food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Minimise food waste and maintain good stock control.
  • Support other members of the kitchen team when required.

Working Hours: The role offers flexible working hours, with shifts varying depending on the day and business requirements. Typical weekday shifts may include: 10:00am - 4:00pm, 10:00am - 10:00pm, Afternoon start through to evening service. Weekend shifts may be approximately: 8:30am - 9:00pm. Weekend working is operated on a rotational basis, approximately once a month. The business operates Wednesday to Sunday, with the successful candidate working approximately 40 hours per week across 3, 4 or 5 days.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Experience within a pub, restaurant, gastro-pub or similar environment is beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of fresh produce and fresh food preparation.
  • Experience cooking British-style food / pub grub is desirable.
  • Pizza oven experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, flexible and hardworking approach.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential due to the location.
