A well-established machinery dealership in South Wales is looking for an experienced Mobile Service Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of agricultural, groundcare, construction, and horticultural machinery, carrying out servicing, repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics for customers across the region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing customer machinery, completing pre-delivery inspections on new equipment, and preparing hire machinery to a high standard. You will work closely with the service, parts, sales, and transport teams to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and customers receive excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer machinery
- Diagnose faults and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Complete build work and pre-delivery inspections on new machinery
- Prepare hire equipment to company standards
- Complete job cards accurately and submit paperwork on time
- Provide parts lists for required repairs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth job completion
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Background in agricultural, plant, groundcare, construction, HGV, or similar machinery industries
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of agricultural, horticultural, or groundcare machinery is beneficial
- Experience with electric technologies would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence (Category B required)
- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
