Salary: £20.00-£25.00 per hour

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operating CNC machines in line with production schedules.
  • Loading raw materials and unloading finished components.
  • Performing in-process inspection of components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Following engineering drawings, route cards, and work instructions.
  • Completing production paperwork in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Carrying out routine machine checks and reporting any faults or issues.
  • Changing tooling where required and notifying setters of any tooling issues.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Working to production targets while maintaining high levels of quality.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience operating CNC machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Good understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Experience following manufacturing route cards and work instructions.
  • Good general engineering knowledge.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Good attention to detail with a proactive approach to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Fanuc-controlled machines.
  • Experience working within a precision engineering environment.
  • Previous experience manufacturing components for highly regulated industries.

  • 38-hour working week.
  • Monday-Thursday:8:00am-5:00pm.
  • Friday:8:00am-12:00pm.
  • Overtime opportunities available on Fridays and Saturdays.
