Residential Property Surveyor
to join a growing, RICS-regulated practice and support its continued expansion across
Northwich and the surrounding Cheshire area
. This is a role where
quality comes before quantity
. You'll typically complete around
56 surveys per week
, giving you the time to carry out thorough inspections, produce high-quality reports and build genuine relationships with your clients. There is also the opportunity to increase your workload and earnings if you want to, with additional work and bonus opportunities available. The Role
You'll carry out residential inspections and
RICS Level 1, 2 and 3 surveys across Cheshire
, identifying defects, assessing risks and providing clients with clear, practical advice. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out detailed residential property inspections across Cheshire. Producing your own professional reports using surveying software. Identifying defects, building pathology and potential risks. Providing clear advice on property condition, repairs and maintenance. Explaining technical findings in a way clients can easily understand. Managing your own diary and report turnaround times. Building strong and trusted client relationships. Working collaboratively with the wider team as the practice continues to grow. Maintaining high professional and RICS standards. The role is primarily
field-based across Cheshire
, with report writing completed from home. The successful candidate will also be required to attend the office for
one afternoon each week to take part in the staff meeting
. About You
We're looking for someone who is
technically capable, commercially aware and naturally good with people
. You'll have: AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS membership
, with AssocRICS being the minimum level required. Solid experience in residential property surveying. Strong knowledge of building pathology and residential defects. Excellent written reporting skills. Strong client-facing and communication skills. A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across Cheshire. A relevant surveying qualification, RICS-accredited degree or appropriate professional experience may form part of your route to RICS membership. A
drone licence would be advantageous
, but isn't essential. Training can be provided. We're also interested in candidates with a strong and consistent background in property, whether that's through surveying, estate agency, property management, construction or a related discipline. The Person
