About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Fitter to join a well-established team based in Kirkby, Liverpool. This is a permanent opportunity offering stable hours, overtime availability, and long-term career prospects. The role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repair of trucks and trailers, ensuring all vehicles remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Complete repairs in line with safety and compliance standards.
- Prepare vehicles and trailers to meet roadworthiness requirements.
- Work to company procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Support workshop operations to minimise vehicle downtime.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience working as an HGV Fitter, HGV Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence preferred.
- Strong experience working on trucks and trailers.
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
