Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete MOT preparation work and undertake repairs as required.
  • Perform inspections and identify any additional work required.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred or essential, depending on the role).

Desirable Skills

  • MOT Tester qualification (advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience working with manufacturer diagnostic systems.
  • Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles is desirable.
