Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Complete MOT preparation work and undertake repairs as required.
- Perform inspections and identify any additional work required.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with company policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
- Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred or essential, depending on the role).
Desirable Skills
- MOT Tester qualification (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience working with manufacturer diagnostic systems.
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles is desirable.
