An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-established and reputable automotive business based in Bridgend. Working within a busy and fully equipped workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models. This role would suit a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys solving mechanical faults and challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Complete MOT preparation work and ensure vehicles meet roadworthy standards
- Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and braking systems
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements
- Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
- Work efficiently to meet workshop deadlines and productivity targets
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety regulations
- Deliver consistently high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working as a Vehicle Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, or Automotive Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Experience carrying out servicing, repairs, and MOT preparation
- Confident using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Good understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Reliable, professional, and hardworking attitude
