An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-established and reputable automotive business based in Bridgend. Working within a busy and fully equipped workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models. This role would suit a skilled technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and enjoys solving mechanical faults and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Complete MOT preparation work and ensure vehicles meet roadworthy standards
  • Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and braking systems
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements
  • Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
  • Work efficiently to meet workshop deadlines and productivity targets
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety regulations
  • Deliver consistently high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience working as a Vehicle Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, or Automotive Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
  • Experience carrying out servicing, repairs, and MOT preparation
  • Confident using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Reliable, professional, and hardworking attitude
