We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing CNC machine tool specialist. This is a field-based role covering the UK, responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of CNC machines at customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical engineering experience, excellent fault-finding skills, and a willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays.

About the Company

Fusion CNC is a small, family-run engineering business based in the West Midlands, established in 2021. We specialise in the service, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tools across the UK, working with a wide range of equipment including Mazak, Doosan, Mori Seiki, Bridgeport, and Fanuc-controlled machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing and maintenance on CNC machine tools
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical faults on-site
  • Strip down, repair, and reassemble machine components including ballscrews and spindles
  • Replace faulty parts to reduce customer downtime
  • Work independently or alongside another engineer as required
  • Complete accurate service reports following each visit
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a machine tool service engineer or maintenance engineer
  • Strong mechanical engineering background
  • Experience with Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Relevant engineering qualifications are beneficial but not essential
