About the Opportunity
We are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded and growing law firm based in Chester to recruit an Employment Solicitor (NQ - 3 PQE) to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to build a strong foundation in employment law, with exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work, excellent supervision, and genuine long-term progression. The firm offers a supportive, collaborative culture alongside hybrid working, making it an ideal environment for someone looking to develop their career without compromising on flexibility.
The Role
You will work closely with experienced lawyers on a varied caseload, including:
- Advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters
- Supporting on Employment Tribunal claims including:
- Unfair dismissal
- Discrimination
- Redundancy and whistleblowing
- Employment contracts
- Settlement agreements
- HR policies and procedures
You will gain exposure to high-quality work early on, with the support needed to build confidence and technical ability.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ - 3 years PQE) in England & Wales
- Strong grounding in employment law (training seat or post-qualified experience)
- Interest in both contentious and advisory work
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to Employment Tribunal work
- Experience drafting employment documentation
- Interest in business development or client-facing work
