Kamma is removing one of the messiest, riskiest parts of the UK housing market: property licensing. Regulations change constantly, fines are huge, and we make compliance clear, accurate and effortless — turning a painful cost centre into a genuine commercial advantage.

Our platform has been rebuilt from the ground up: fast, flexible, and built to launch new products quickly as regulations shift. Enforcement is rising, rent repayment orders are doubling, and demand from the industry is accelerating. We already partner with major brands like Foxtons, JLL, Knight Frank, Chestertons and more — and new integrations are opening powerful routes for distribution and scale.

We are an AI‑native team. We automate everything we can, train every team member on modern AI tooling, and focus humans where they add the most value.

What You Will Do

  • You have experience writing and maintaining automated test suites; we test all aspects of our platforms: web portal user interfaces, RESTful web APIs, software components and packages. Our test platform of choice is Python using PyTest.
  • A strong and self-organised drive to create long term and scalable solutions.
  • Language experience in both Python and PHP/Laravel.
  • Backend database experience using PostgreSQL.
  • Cloud computing experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform or Amazon AWS.
  • A strong understanding of the SDLC and of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience testing microservice based platforms is desirable, including understanding the quality risks introduced by distributed services, varied technology stacks, and service to service interactions.
  • Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment is desirable, particularly where product quality, reliability, and customer trust are critical.

Soft-skill Requirements

  • Good communication at all levels within the organisation, able to highlight risks involved and potential blockers.
  • A strong care of attention to detail.
  • Shows a strong and willing dedication to learn.
  • Good team fit with recognisable qualities for Kamma's culture.
  • Ready to face new problems and hurdles head on with a positive and resourceful attitude.
  • You are comfortable working in an early stage company where priorities evolve and processes are still being defined.
  • You take ownership, think clearly, and focus on getting the right things done with pace.

Why Kamma

  • Purpose and impact: help raise housing standards across the UK.
  • Engineering is a remote first team. We come together monthly for in person engineering days focused on collaboration and planning. The whole company meets quarterly to align on progress, priorities, and culture.
  • Expand your technical knowledge. We use an approach of “the right tool for the right job” which means that QA is a rich and varied skill set, touching on front end, back end, APIs and everything else that makes up our platforms.
  • Salary: Base Salary: ÂŁ40,000 – ÂŁ55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Equity: Participation in the company share option scheme.
  • Great benefits including: 25 days holiday, which increases with tenure; we usually close for the Christmas period; 2 charity days per year; pension scheme, health insurance, cycle-to-work scheme, book allowance, home office budget, curiosity budget and more.

The timing is exceptional: strong foundations, clear momentum, and scaling fast towards Series B. You’ll join a curious, ambitious team that values ownership, clarity and pace — with equity that reflects the impact you’ll have.
