Kamma is fixing one of the most broken parts of the UK housing market. Property licensing is complex, fragmented and constantly changing. Letting agents face huge fines and reputational risk if they get it wrong — and most don’t have a reliable way to stay on top of it. We solve that. Kamma gives agents a clear, accurate system to understand which properties need a licence, get them approved, and stay compliant as rules evolve — turning compliance from a risk into a commercial advantage. We’re now scaling fast, with the UK’s 18,000 letting agents as our biggest growth opportunity. This SDR role sits at the very front of that, opening conversations that turn into revenue within weeks.
You are the first voice — and increasingly the first face — an independent letting agent encounters from Kamma. You will spend most of your week on the phone running outbound into a defined territory of UK high street letting agents, and 1–2 days a week visiting branches in person, especially when new licensing schemes drop and local agents suddenly have an urgent compliance problem to solve. If you are energised by cold calling, comfortable walking into a branch you've never been to before, and want to be measured on real pipeline rather than vanity metrics, this role is for you.
You own the top of the funnel. You source, qualify and book meetings for our Business Development Managers, who run the demo and close the deal. You don't carry the deal through to contract — but you do own how clean the handover is, and you stay close enough to the BDMs to learn what's converting and what isn't.
This role is focused on independent high street letting agents and small regional chains — typically 1 to 20 branches. Larger national chains and our enterprise accounts (banks, surveyors, build-to-rent operators) sit with other parts of the team. Your job is to own the long tail of the market, which is where the bulk of UK rental stock lives and where the commercial opportunity is largest.
The four pillars of success:
- Pipeline volume and quality. Consistent outbound activity — calls, visits, follow-ups — converted into qualified meetings our BDMs are genuinely happy to take.
- Coverage of priority territories. When a new selective or additional licensing scheme is announced in a borough, Kamma should be the first name agents in that area hear.
- Operational discipline. Clean CRM, accurate notes, on-time follow-ups, smooth handovers. SDR work compounds when the records do.
- Commercial judgement. Spotting which agencies are worth more of your time, which signals matter, and which scheme launches will actually convert to revenue.
What you will do:
- Run a daily volume of outbound calls into a defined territory of UK high street letting agents.
- Spend 1–2 days a week visiting branches in person — mostly across London, occasionally further afield when new licensing schemes drive demand elsewhere.
- Track newly announced licensing schemes and turn them into timely, relevant outreach within days of an announcement.
- Qualify prospects against our ICP, book meetings for BDMs, and run clean handovers.
- Maintain CRM hygiene — every interaction logged, every next step scheduled.
- Feed back what you're hearing in branches and on calls to marketing, product and the BDM team so our messaging keeps sharpening.
What you bring:
- Non-negotiables:
- 2+ years of outbound sales experience, ideally in SaaS or selling to property professionals, with a track record of consistently hitting activity and pipeline targets.
- You actually like cold calling — or at minimum, you don't shy away from it. This role doesn't work if you only want to send emails.
- Comfortable representing a brand in person. You can walk into a letting agent branch you've never visited, hold your own with the branch manager or director, and leave them better disposed to Kamma than when you walked in.
- London-based and willing to travel. Most field visits are within the M25; occasional travel further afield when new licensing schemes make it worth it. Public transport covers most of it — a driving licence is useful but not required.
- AI curious and tech savvy. You already use modern sales tools and are excited to learn how we use AI to work smarter. We don't expect AI experts — we will give you access to tooling and internal experts so you can experiment.
- A plus: Direct experience selling into letting agents, estate agents or property services. Familiarity with property licensing, lettings compliance or local council regulation.
We are a growing company. Processes are evolving, priorities shift, and there is real room to design parts of the SDR motion yourself rather than just execute someone else's playbook. If you want a fully built sales engine to plug into, this isn't the right role. If you want to help build one, it is. You will work closely with our BDMs (who close the deals you source), with marketing (who fuel the top of funnel) and with our research team (who track every licensing scheme in the country). You will also have direct exposure to commercial leadership and a short line to the founders.
Working pattern:
- 2 days/week in our central London office alongside the rest of the commercial team.
- 1–2 days/week in the field visiting letting agent branches.
- Remainder remote, with the office available 24/7 if you want it. Onboarding will involve more in-person time so you can ramp quickly.
Compensation and benefits:
- £35,000-£45,000 base / £55,000 OTE with uncapped commission tied to qualified pipeline and BDM-accepted meetings.
- Pension and private health insurance.
- Christmas closure days on top of standard leave, plus your birthday off.
- 2 paid charity days a year for volunteering.
- Hybrid working with a 24/7 central London office.
- Book allowance, curiosity budget and home office budget to invest in how you work.
- Cycle to work scheme.
