We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a global leader in aero‑engine component manufacturing, producing air foils, rings, disks and forgings. The role is a permanent, full‑time position based in the United Kingdom, with the opportunity to work within a company boasting 128 years of innovation, over 42,000 employees in 156 locations worldwide and approximately 2,800 UK employees across 16 sites.
Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical repairs and installations in accordance with current regulations.
- Interpret and work from detailed drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Test and inspect mechanical installations, taking appropriate remedial action when required.
- Diagnose fault‑finding on a wide range of installations, equipment and apparatus.
- Work within Company Procedures, Safety Standards, Method Statements and all applicable Health and Safety legislation.
- Perform work at heights when required.
Qualifications
- Apprentice‑trained, holding City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications.
- Heavy Engineering background and experience.
- Experience in hot‑working, steel forging or forge/foundry operations.
