We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on Manufacturing Technician to support our manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and problem solving. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on the shop floor, improving processes and supporting colleagues to achieve high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, Quick Kaizen, 5S and process improvement activities.
- Identify and reduce waste, improve manufacturing processes and support the development of Standard Work and visual management.
- Support root cause analysis and problem solving using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone and PDCA, using manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with Production, Team Leaders and Continuous Improvement colleagues to implement and sustain improvements while promoting safety, quality and productivity.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with an interest in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of Lean tools and principles, including 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, waste identification and Root Cause Analysis.
- Positive attitude, strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to support and coach colleagues.
- Good communication skills, a hands‑on approach and the confidence to lead by example and drive positive change.
