What the job involves
Reporting to: Senior Program Manager. As the Technical Project Manager (Platform & Integration), you are the critical link between our core engineering capabilities and our major energy clients. You don’t just manage tasks; you orchestrate the journey from internal platform stability to successful client deployment. Your mission is to ensure that our Environment, Infrastructure, Security and DataMart roadmap is perfectly synchronized with client integration needs. You will act as the single point of accountability, translating complex platform architecture into seamless client implementations—ensuring that what we build internally delivers maximum value and reliability to the external market.
Client Integration & Technical Governance (External Focus)
- Technical Consulting: Serve as a primary technical contact during client integration projects, translating internal platform architecture and dependencies into clear, actionable requirements for the client’s technical teams.
- Environment Alignment: Own the technical coordination for critical implementation elements across infrastructure, access, services, APIs, applications, and DataMart, ensuring setup and configuration of client testing and production environments.
- Security Assurance & Data Protection: Work with clients and Kaluza SMEs to ensure the Kaluza platform meets minimum security and data protection requirements. Manage the definition of needs, implementation approach, validation, and auditing activities.
- Technical Risk Communication: Proactively communicate technical risks, constraints, and trade-offs inherent in the implementation process to client stakeholders and internal commercial teams.
Core Platform & Infrastructure Delivery (Internal Focus)
- Infrastructure Roadmap: Manage internal projects focused on the enhancement and stability of our Technical Infrastructure (cloud environments, containerization, security tooling) and Tech Operations maturity.
- Engineering Alignment: Collaborate with Platform Architects, DevOps, and Data Engineering teams to define project scope, secure resources, and manage technical dependencies.
- Reliability & Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure and data projects adhere to security protocols, regulatory requirements, and internal reliability targets.
Delivery Methodologies & Reporting
- Agile Proficiency: Apply expert knowledge of Scrum and Kanban within an engineering context, managing sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous delivery practices.
- System Integration: Apply your organisational and management skills to large-scale, fixed-time system integration programs in a way that promotes transparency and minimises delivery risk.
- Reporting: Provide transparent, data-driven reporting using Jira dashboards and quantifiable metrics, clearly showing the status of both internal delivery and external client dependencies.
- Blocker Resolution: Facilitate technical and architectural decisions, acting as the primary point of contact to resolve critical technical roadblocks for both internal and client teams.
- Team / Relationship Management: Form strong working relationships with clients and internal teams. Effectively operate in a matrix team structure. Lead and facilitate meetings and ceremonies.
