Overview
As Migration Architect within the Migration Enablement team, you design and lead data migration solutions for Kaluza deployments. You will shape end-to-end migration strategies, balancing data extraction, transformation, loading, validation and cutover with engineering standards. You collaborate across client delivery to ensure scalable, secure deployments that support customers’ innovation and growth. You’ll be the technical authority on migrations, guiding decisions and risks while working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Analyze client systems, data models and processes to define migration requirements and complexity
- Lead source-to-target data mapping, including transformation rules and handling data gaps
- Design end-to-end migration architectures covering extraction, transformation, loading, validation and reconciliation
- Define robust data extraction strategies and data quality expectations
- Collaborate with engineering to specify tooling, APIs, ETL/ELT processes and automation for migrations
- Apply API, integration and ETL expertise to design scalable migration approaches
- Define data quality controls and remediation approaches with clients and engineering
- Architect client-specific migration solutions and present technical decisions and outcomes
- Develop migration strategy, cohorts, sequencing, volumes and windows
- Lead migration testing strategies and cutover/production migration architectures
- Provide technical leadership across implementation, sales support and governance forums
- Produce architecture docs, data mappings and reusable playbooks to standardise future migrations
- Share knowledge and mentor engineering and migration teams
Key requirements
- Experience in data migration programmes with ETL development
- Technical leadership experience in engineering roles
- Energy industry or utilities domain experience is beneficial
