As a key member of the Legal team, you will act as a strategic partner to the business, balancing commercial velocity with robust risk management. You will take ownership of complex, high-value deals that drive Kaluza’s global expansion, operating as the lead legal representative in commercial contracting processes with the confidence and authority that demands.You will take clear positions on risk allocation and high-stakes issues involving IP licensing, cloud liability, service levels and data protection.Lead Negotiations: You will represent Kaluza as the lead legal negotiator in commercial discussions. This involves asserting Kaluza's position, maintaining critical commercial terms, and driving negotiations towards a successful outcome, collaborating effectively with the business team throughout the process.Drive Commercial Strategy: Acting as a core legal advisor to the Commercial and Bid teams, you will support RFPs, pricing structures, and risk allocation strategies for large-scale international deals, ensuring commercial viability while protecting the business. Communicate with Precision and Impact: You will deliver concise, structured legal advice in fast-moving commercial conversations, distilling complexity into clear, actionable positions — not lengthy, discursive commentary.Scale Commercial Operations: You will partner with the Commercial team in evolving our commercial playbooks, to create a frictionless contracting process that ensures consistency and efficiency across the sales cycle.Empower the Business: You will design and deliver practical training to Revenue and Bid teams on contracting rules of engagement, deal hygiene, and regulatory risk, empowering them to move faster with confidence.Expert legal advice: You will provide pragmatic, business-focused advice on the legal matters directly impacting our SaaS platform, including data protection and privacy, InfoSec regulations, use of OSS and AI and cloud hosting.International Engagement: You will operate as part of a global deal team, occasionally travelling internationally to support high-value strategic negotiations in person.Deep SaaS Experience: You bring a minimum of 8 years' PQE, gained in commercial/TMT departments of leading law firms and in-house roles within high-growth enterprise SaaS companies.Tech Sector Expertise: You have a mastery of commercial contracts specific to enterprise software implementation and delivery, with deep knowledge of IP licensing, cloud hosting nuances, and liability caps in a SaaS context.Proven Negotiation Authority: You have a demonstrable track record of leading commercial negotiations end-to-end as the sole or lead legal representative. You take clear, defensible positions on liability, risk, and commercial terms in live negotiations and do not require frequent validation from senior management.Decisive and Autonomous: You take ownership of decisions and provide your position on a legal or commercial issue with clarity and conviction. EMEA, North America, APAC).Commercial Acumen: You don't just quote the law; you translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable business advice.
