What will I be doing?

  • Direct and execute Kaluza's internal communications and employee engagement strategy, ensuring multi-market alignment across global teams and offices.
  • Line manage, mentor, and empower a team of (Communications Manager) to deliver high-quality messaging, events, and campaigns.
  • Partner directly with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and C-suite to craft high-impact executive communications, strategic business updates, and change management announcements.
  • Serve as primary owner and strategic lead for Kaluza's intranet platform, The Hive, establishing content standards, governance, and user engagement strategies to maximize platform adoption.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of company-wide events, Town Halls, and interactive employee initiatives that strengthen culture and mission alignment.
  • Manage our European office locations; Edinburgh, London, Bristol and Paris, leading on the global workplace strategy and engagement activities that create a safe and exciting place to work.

About You

  • Strategic communications leadership experience in a fast-paced technology, scale-up, or Saa S business.
  • Proven line management experience with a track record of coaching team members and driving departmental output.
  • Extensive experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives and C-suite leaders on internal communications and strategic messaging.
  • Hands-on expertise managing modern intranet ecosystems (specifically Simplr or similar enterprise digital workplace platforms).
  • Exceptional narrative creation, copywriting, and editing skills with high attention to tone of voice and brand consistency.
  • What will set you apart
  • Experience maintaining strategy continuity and leading a communications function during a fixed-term cover / maternity cover period.
  • Strong interest or prior domain background in green energy, clean tech, or sustainability software.
  • Previous experience working with or leading a Workplace function
  • Demonstrated ability using analytics tools and employee feedback data to continuously evolve communication channels.

We offer flexible working, with an expectation of 3 days a week in the office.
