What will I be doing?

  • You’ll lead a team of engineers and analysts, supporting their growth, managing performance, and creating an inclusive, high‑performing environment.
  • Working closely with Product Managers, you’ll help shape the technical direction and ensure your team delivers reliable, scalable, and well‑observed systems.
  • While you won’t be coding day to day, you’ll use your technical experience to guide architecture and support the team through complex challenges.
  • You’ll also play a key role in improving how the team works, removing blockers and driving continuous improvement, while helping deliver products that connect renewable energy with smart devices, enabling offerings like Vehicle‑to‑Grid and Charge Anytime.
  • Alongside this, you’ll contribute to the wider engineering community, promoting strong practices and helping raise the bar across teams.

About You

  • Experience leading high‑performing, cross‑functional teams of software engineers and data scientists, or a strong desire to step into your first engineering management role.
  • A genuine interest in people management, with a passion for coaching and developing others.
  • The ability to support individual growth while delivering against team and business goals.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with experience working with a range of stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A solid technical foundation, including an understanding of automated testing, continuous delivery, and agile ways of working in cloud‑based environments (AWS or GCP).
  • A thoughtful and resilient approach to learning new domains and technologies, with the ability to connect technical work to meaningful business outcomes.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience within the energy sector or with high‑scale IoT/Flexibility platforms.
  • Experience overseeing teams working with Golang, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Kafka, or Flutter.
