What will I be doing?
- You will be focused on a domain within our Client Engineering function, working directly with clients to leverage the Kaluza platform to meet client needs in new regions.
- You will look after up to 2 teams of engineers, up to 10 direct reports.
- Engineering Managers contribute to both the technical and product vision of their teams, ensuring product success.
- You will nurture engineering talent, encouraging personal development, managing performance, and aligning everyone with product delivery objectives.
- You will work closely with clients, product managers, and client success teams to ensure we deliver real value.
- You will contribute to and drive the technical roadmap and strategy for your area.
- You will champion operational excellence and help your team excel.
- You will find the right channels to remove impediments and unblock your team.
About You
- Experience in an Engineering Management or related role with high performing cross functional teams.
- Passionate about growing and mentoring engineers.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients.
- Fundamental understanding of Agile and lean development principles.
- Excellent understanding of modern technologies, especially event-based systems such as Kafka.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior leaders.
What Will Set You Apart
- Background in client-facing roles, including solutions engineering or consulting.
- Proven ability to translate complex client needs into effective technical solutions.
- Experience in domains such as Billing, Finance, Ledger tooling, Integration with Payments systems, eCommerce, Energy generation or supply.
- Experience transforming software engineering teams through AI, ML, and/or LLMs.
Other Requirements
Kaluza is a global business, requiring travel for commercial and deployment activities, approximately 4 to 6 business trips a year.
