What will I be doing?
You’ll join the team building Kaluza’s Energy Retail platform, a SaaS product modernising how energy retailers operate globally. This is a frontend focused role centred on large scale React applications used by both customers and internal teams. You’ll design, build, and evolve complex user interfaces that sit on top of high volume, distributed systems. The frontend is a critical part of how customers experience Kaluza’s platform, and engineering quality is a priority. We’re looking for engineers who are comfortable owning significant areas of the frontend, contributing to technical decisions, and improving systems over time, not just delivering tickets.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable frontend features using TypeScript and React.
- Take ownership of frontend domains from discovery through release and ongoing improvement.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape patterns that support a growing codebase and contributor base.
- Build and maintain shared tooling, components, and standards that enable consistency across teams.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to turn complex problems into intuitive user experiences.
- Work with backend and platform engineers to ensure robust, well integrated solutions.
- Write well tested, maintainable code and raise the bar through thoughtful code reviews.
- Identify and address performance, scalability, and technical debt issues proactively.
About You
- Professional experience building production frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- Strong understanding of component architecture, state management, and patterns for scaling React applications.
- Experience delivering substantial features or systems with a high degree of autonomy.
- Comfortable reasoning about performance, reliability, and long term maintainability.
- Experience with end‑to‑end testing in modern frontend environments.
- Confident collaborating across disciplines and contributing to technical discussions.
- Motivated by solving real customer problems, not just shipping code.
Bonus: Experience with monorepo tooling such as Nx or Turborepo.
