As Commercial Deal Executive for Kaluza, you will be responsible for helping build the foundational processes and playbooks that make our Deal Desk world‑class and lead key operational and commercial contracting elements of an enterprise SaaS agreement. You will sit at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product, refining pricing models, commercial and operational terms and the deal infrastructure that will underpin Kaluza’s growth with enterprise clients globally.

What will I be doing?
  • Foundational & Operational Excellence
    • Commercial content: Manage the creation and maintenance of pricing sheets, quote packs, and sales enablement materials.
    • Contracting strategy: Develop standardised contracting approval plans and refine commercial and operational elements of contract templates to reduce friction during legal reviews.
    • Strategic documentation: Synthesise input from across the business to document formal commercial positions that negotiators can use at the table.
    • RfP & committee support: Provide initial commercial inputs for RfPs and manage content creation/reporting for internal committees.
    • Deal tooling & contracting playbook: Develop and maintain a comprehensive "Contracting Playbook" that covers the key processes, tools, roles and responsibilities.
  • Deal Execution Support
    • Initially supporting Deal Leads on complex enterprise transactions to learn the nuances of an energy SaaS deal and how Kaluza operates.
    • Commercial ownership: Transition into owning the commercial negotiations for specific deal workstreams or enterprise deals.
    • Cross‑functional coordination: Liaise across internal teams and subject‑matter experts when negotiating non‑standard terms for commercial and operational contract schedules.
    • Continuous feedback: Use your front‑line experience to feed back into the foundational work, improving templates and processes based on real‑world negotiation outcomes.

  • Experience working in a commercial role focused on sales of SaaS solutions in the energy industry.
  • Experience in software deal work from pricing to contracting.
  • An understanding of the energy industry and the role of retailers and utilities within it.
  • A high degree of initiative and a commercial, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A team player, open communicator and collaborator – keeps colleagues up to date, shares and learns without prompting.
  • A start‑up mentality and ability to self‑organise.
  • A solid understanding of commercial SaaS terms and metrics and basic legal/contractual concepts.
  • Experience in a role that demonstrates a customer‑centric focus.
