Full Stack Engineer - Investment Platform £90k–£140k + bonus + benefits
Hybrid | Central London
Private markets still run on fragmented systems, operational complexity and clunky user experiences - A London fintech is building the platform layer to change that.
Behind every private equity fund, infrastructure vehicle and credit strategy sits messy operational workflows, disconnected investment reporting and increasingly high expectations from wealth managers and private banks who want everything accessible in one place, in real time. That’s the challenge.
You’ll help build the platform sitting between fund managers, private banks and wealth advisers globally - bringing together investment operations, reporting and client experiences into a single modern product ecosystem.
You’ll work full-stack across front-end experiences, APIs, platform services, data and application architecture, depending on priority and your interests. You'll work with smart people, the kind that you'll learn from, but want to learn from you too.
React and TypeScript sit at the heart of the modern stack, alongside Node services, Azure cloud infrastructure and the distributed data platform powering investment operations across global private markets. Python for all things data.
Engineering quality is taken seriously. Modern testing practices, CI/CD workflows and investment into AI-native tooling, automation and smarter operational systems across the platform.
You’ll help take features from concept through to production, influence architectural decisions, and work alongside pragmatic engineers who care deeply about building clean, scalable systems without overengineering them.
Culture matters too. Leadership comes from deep trading-tech and asset management infrastructure backgrounds. Pragmatic people. Low ego. Strong technical standards. The kind of environment where thoughtful engineering decisions and healthy pushback is actively encouraged.
You’ll probably thrive here if you:
- Care about clean, maintainable engineering
- Enjoy building product experiences as much as backend systems
- Like operating across the stack where it makes sense
- Prefer ownership and autonomy over heavily siloed teams
- Have strong opinions on engineering quality, loosely held
- Are curious about fintech, wealth or investment platforms
You don’t need prior private markets experience - you’ll learn plenty working closely with traders, product and investment operations teams.
What matters is strong React/ TypeScript capability, product engineering instincts and the ability to build thoughtful systems that real users rely on every day.
