The Role: Our IT team sits at the heart of Kallidus, supporting colleagues with the tools, systems, and infrastructure they need to do great work. We manage a modern, cloud-first environment across Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and a growing range of SaaS platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate at the very start of their IT career to gain hands-on, real-world experience inside a fast-paced IT team.
As an IT Support Technician, you will report to the IT Manager and work within our small IT Team to support colleagues across the business with their day-to-day digital needs. You will be involved in IT helpdesk operations, device management, onboarding new starters, and contributing to digital improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:- IT Helpdesk & User Support
- Act as a first point of contact for IT support requests, triaging and resolving issues via the helpdesk system.
- Provide technical assistance to colleagues via remote tools, VoIP, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot issues relating to Microsoft 365 apps including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, and Word.
- Escalate complex problems appropriately, documenting steps taken and resolutions clearly.
- Device & Endpoint Management
- Support the management of Windows and Apple devices using Microsoft Intune, including enrolment, compliance checks, and policy application.
- Set up and configure laptops, peripherals, and accessories for new starters.
- Help maintain accurate hardware inventory records.
- New Starter Onboarding
- Assist with the end-to-end onboarding pipeline, including account provisioning in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
- Prepare and configure devices ahead of start dates, ensuring a smooth Day 1 experience for new colleagues.
- Liaise with HR and Finance teams to ensure onboarding checklists are completed on time.
- Digital Systems & SaaS Platforms
- Support colleagues in their effective use of digital tools and productivity software.
- Maintain and update internal IT documentation, how-to guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Contribute to digital improvement projects under the guidance of the IT Manager.
- Security & Compliance
- Assist with routine compliance and security tasks, including Intune device compliance reporting.
- Follow Kallidus IT policies and procedures, escalating potential security concerns promptly.
- Develop a working awareness of data protection principles and information security best practices.
- A graduate with a genuine interest in IT and digital technology, with a clear desire to build a career in the field.
- Good communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and ask questions.
- Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player who is also comfortable working independently.
- GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths.
- Some prior exposure to IT support — through university, school, personal projects, or work experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
- Basic understanding of networking, cloud services, or endpoint management.
- Experience using a helpdesk or ticketing system.
