The Vice President of Software Engineering – Fuel is a senior technology leadership role responsible for the strategy, delivery, and continuous evolution of Kalibrate’s fuel software platforms. Reporting into the SVP Pricing, the role owns engineering outcomes across fuel products, ensuring teams deliver secure, scalable, and high quality SaaS solutions that meet customer needs and align with Kalibrate’s commercial and product strategy. The role combines technology leadership, people leadership, and execution discipline, operating at both strategic and operational levels.

- Managing technical risk and operating costs while supporting innovation

Required Skills and Experience:
- Senior leadership experience within a commercial SaaS or product led software environment
- A strong and informed point of view on how AI is reshaping software engineering, with a track record of proactively driving adoption and transforming delivery models to unlock meaningful gains in productivity and quality.
- Proven track record leading engineering organisations delivering complex, data driven platforms
- Experience operating across strategy and execution, with accountability for outcomes
- Strong communicator able to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to build aligned, high performing teams across disciplines and locations
Technical and Delivery Background:
- Experience with modern service oriented or microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and architectures (IAAS / PAAS) – preferably Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with data intensive systems and analytics driven applications
- Deep appreciation of software quality, reliability, and operational performance
- Practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure delivery practices
- Knowledge of a broad range of coding languages – C#, ReactNative, AngularJS, JavaScript, TypeScript
