The Head of FP&A is a senior leadership role, taking responsibility and oversight for all financial planning and analysis processes and deliverables. The Head of FP&A will collaborate closely with other senior leaders within finance and across the wider business to drive financial performance and strategic growth. The person will also support and mentor individuals within the team to develop their skill sets, knowledge and further their careers.
Financial Strategy and Leadership- Execute a strategy to lead a high performing and commercial orientated FP&A function to facilitate the continued scaling up of the business and ensure a 'no surprises' reporting environment.
- Identify and track trading risks and opportunities, working with other areas of the business to mitigate risks and deliver opportunities.
- Support, develop and mentor the FP&A team, understanding individuals skill sets and providing them with the tools they need to challenge, succeed and deliver.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Take full responsibility and oversight for leading all financial planning processes, covering monthly Board reporting, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
- Deliver Exec and board reporting with analysis and insightful commentary on both financial and non-financial measures, ensuring KPIs are informative to enable accurate understanding of the business’s performance.
- Provide clear, concise and timely reporting and analysis on the key business drivers of financial performance and the effective support required to all Directors and Stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with the wider organisation to create a culture of collaboration, information sharing and good business practice.
- Engage with the business leaders to ensure clear and transparent communication and financial understanding across the senior leadership team.
- Build cross-functional relationships, quickly building trust and credibility across the business, creating a culture of strong financial discipline to allow for continued business agility.
- Identify areas of improvement, developing and implementing standardisation of financial processes, reporting and KPI metrics to support business growth.
- Seek to continuously utilise and enhance existing systems and processes to effectively track and report on product/customer profitability.
- Explore and utilize AI and other available technologies to both streamline processes and add value to the business.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or non-UK equivalent)
- 3+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies in diverse international markets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends to deliver insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Successful identification and implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Strong inter-personal skills with ability to inspire and develop a team-oriented finance function.
- Experience working in a matrixed global organization.
This is a hybrid role based in our office in Manchester with a FTC for one year beginning in April 2026. The salary for this role is 90k GBP.
