Kaleidoscope Multi Academy Trust (MAT) is a collaboration of seven primary schools located in North Somerset, including Ashcombe, Becket, Christ Church, Crockerne, Hutton, St Martin's and Worle Village Primary Schools.

You’ll be a vital link between home and school, building trusted relationships with families while working closely with staff and external agencies to ensure every child thrives. You’ll need a genuine passion for supporting children in a school setting and a commitment to helping every young person reach their potential.

  • be organised, flexible and reliable, with the ability to work with students in a professional and appropriate way
  • build trusted relationships with families and provide practical advice and guidance
  • work closely with school staff, external agencies, and community partners
  • carry out home visits and manage a caseload of families
  • support safeguarding, attendance, and the overall wellbeing of our pupils
  • maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality
  • be well‑motivated and keen to show their enthusiasm for the role
  • contribute to the development of the department as part of a dedicated team

Qualifications:

  • Experience in support work roles, particularly with children and families.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Knowledge and application of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure child welfare and safety.
  • Proficiency in technical support tasks, including accurate documentation and collaboration with agencies where necessary.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and priorities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Relevant qualification in social work, education, child development, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable.
