This is an exciting new opportunity for two Exercise Referral Specialist Instructors (Female-Only) to join the team and play a key role in the delivery of our Specialist Exercise Programmes in the community.

(This is a female only position and is covered by Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010.)

Post will include working from a variety of sites.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification accredited by CIMSPA
  • Significant experience of delivering specialist exercise to people with long term health conditions
  • Relevant experience of working with ethnic minorities, people from low socio-economic groups and with community engagement
  • Experience of planning, organising and delivery of activity programmes
  • Willing to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends where required

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the delivery of KAL\'s programme of specialist exercise to people with long term health conditions and those who need additional support to become physically active
  • To conduct appropriate health assessments as required in line with the scheme criteria
  • Maintain excellent relationships with key partners from across primary and secondary care, along with the community and voluntary sector
