Are you a Production Manager who wants to make a real impact on cultural change and continuous improvement in a successful, growing business? This truly is a rare and exciting opportunity for you to create something special in a best in class, newly built factory that will see the business double in turnover in the next 2 years.
As Production Manager, reporting into the Production Director, you will have the opportunity to provide the vision, to coach, mentor and ultimately develop your team in world class manufacturing techniques and performance management with the aim of meeting SQCDP targets and delivering excellent production output. As you develop your team and help them solve problems through route-cause analysis, utilising ERP data as part of daily Gemba, you will then be able to progress from focussing on the day-to-day to longer term strategies and sustainable Continuous Improvement. Working with the Production Director you will define the culture and environment on the shop floor in keeping with core values; develop structures, systems (including the basics such as SOPs) and skills in readiness to meet and successfully overcome the challenges as they continue to grow.
Who we're looking for?
- An engaging and inspiring production manager with a track record in implementing systems and procedures; in problem solving; and, ultimately, in promoting a RFT culture and improving all manufacturing key performance indicators such as cost, waste, capacity utilisation and OTIF.
- Your experience will be within fast-moving, high-volume processing manufacturing environments such as FMCG, plastics/foams, metal processing, paper, packaging or print
- Experienced in driving measurable and sustainable performance improvement through implementation of lean/world class manufacturing techniques including TPM and 5S.
- Strong coaching/developing skills.
